The Museum was the proud recipient of this stunning painting by Jessie Jannuska.
INDIGENOUS MILITARY CONTRIBUTIONS
The painting will be formally unveiled at a later date. And on display in the Museum.
Accepting the painting from Jessie is Museum President Don Berry.

Jessie Jannuska Bio:
“Jessie Jannuska is a Winnipeg based visual artist with mixed Dakota, Ojibway, and settler ancestry.
Her family is from Canupawakpa.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors from Brandon University in 2018.
She primarily works in acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, beadwork, and murals.
Her work can be seen on her website “

 This year's Vimy & Beyond Fundraiser is commemorating
The 80th Anniversary of Battle of Atlantic.
Merchant ships and passenger liners all helped
transport troops and equipment to England and Europe.

This stunning quilt, hand crafted by
Georgina Marshall and Sheila Smith,
was generously donated to our Museum.
